Steeped
A curated blend of intriguing museum teapots.

Steeped explores teapot design over centuries, featuring unique vessels from three American museums, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cooper Hewitt, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
The cover’s spot gloss design is inspired by the shine of porcelain teapots, while the gradient motif throughout the book reflects the gradual diffusion of tea’s colour into water.

Typography
Infused with typographic blends
Each section title pairs a recurring serif typeface with a distinct accent typeface, inspired by a teapot’s form or the section’s subject matter.

Takeaways
Steeped emerged through weeks of iteration and countless scrapped spreads. I loved learning more about the history behind these personality-filled objects along the way and bringing that research to life through the book’s design!
